Job summary

TNT Tree Service Ltd. in Winnipeg is seeking an experienced Arborist lead to set safety and quality standards on-site. You will guide the crew through pruning, removal, and high-altitude work, while ensuring PPE compliance and adherence to company procedures.

You will mentor team members, coordinate landscape maintenance tasks, and maintain equipment throughout projects, maintaining efficient, safe operations from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Arborist.
• ISA certification is an asset.
• Familiarity with rigging techniques and safe bucket operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform tree trimming and pruning to maintain healthy growth and aesthetics.
• Assess tree health and diagnose issues related to pests, diseases, or environmental factors.
• Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely for high-altitude work.
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting and caring for shrubs and gardens.
• Rigging techniques for safe removal of branches or trees as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Mentor and collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion.

Whether you're pruning, removing trees, running a bucket, or climbing, you take pride in doing the job right the first time. You lead your crew to ensure everyone is working safely, wearing the proper PPE, and following company procedures. You work efficiently, lead by example, and help keep every job site organized, productive, and safe from start to finish.

• Valid class 5 license with ability to obtain class 3.
• Strong physical fitness to perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
