Job description

Our client a leading tree care provider in Guelph Cambridge and Kitchener is urgently seeking two skilled Arborists to join their team. They are looking for a strong candidate to manage a crew of three climbers and deliver exceptional tree care services. Salary :

30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Hours of Work :

Monday to Friday 7 : 00am - 3 : 00pm (as late as 3 : 30pm) (40 hours a week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a crew of three climbers ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Perform tree pruning removals and health assessments using buckets trucks and grapple saws (also cranes with training).
  • Operate and maintain arborist equipment including chainsaws chippers and aerial lifts.
  • Provide expert advice to clients ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations at all times.
  • Support tree planting transplanting and other arboriculture tasks as needed.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment to deliver high-quality results.

Requirements

  • Skilled Arborist with at least 2 years of experience climbing and running a bucket truck as a Crew Leader.
  • Valid DZ license (required) and clean driving record.
  • Experience operating bucket trucks and grapple saws (hoisting / engineering ticket an asset).
  • Strong leadership skills to manage a crew of three climbers.
  • Knowledge of tree species diseases and care techniques specific to Southern Ontario is an asset.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn with training provided for the right candidates.
