Job summary

Autismservices in Melfort is looking for an Aquatics Centre Program Coordinator to oversee daily operations of the aquatic facility and ensure a safe environment for all patrons. You will manage aquatic staff, provide training, and collaborate with community partners to enhance service offerings.

The ideal candidate must have current certifications including National Lifeguard Certification, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current National Lifeguard Certification.
  • Experience as a Lifesaving Instructor preferred.
  • Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED certification required.
  • Criminal record check with vulnerable sector is necessary.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relating to aquatic facilities is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the aquatic facility, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.
  • Assign, schedule, train, supervise and monitor the work of aquatic employees.
  • Provide regular in‑service training to ensure staff are currently certified in required areas and to stay up to date with latest industry trends. Provide opportunities to maintain current qualifications.
  • Work with partners such as the Lifesaving Society to ensure lessons are current and new initiatives are adopted.
  • Schedule advanced courses as needed.
  • Follow City of Melfort Safety Plan and ensure all public health regulations are met.
  • Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance aquatic services.
