Citibank (Switzerland) AG is seeking an Apps Support Intermediate Analyst to help maintain stability of regulatory platforms and support Citi applications in a production environment.
You will work with UNIX/Linux environments, scripting, SQL queries, and REST APIs, coordinating with tech partners to implement fixes and improvements while communicating clearly with stakeholders.
The Apps Support Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

The Global Markets landscape is significantly shaped by regulatory initiatives such as MiFID II, Dodd Frank, and Volcker. These requirements are a key focus and priority, impacting all product types and asset classes including Cash, ETD, and OTC derivatives across Rates, Credit, Equities, FX, Commodities, Futures, Securitized Markets, and Municipals. These regulations necessitate fundamental changes in trading practices and significant investment in supporting technology platforms.
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
Experience in Application Support, Production Support, IT Operations, or a related technology role.
Experience supporting business applications in a production environment.
Exposure to incident, problem, and change management processes.
Assist in maintaining the stability and data quality of critical regulatory platforms.
Contribute to meeting compliance standards with global external regulators.
Learn and apply engineering, innovation, and automation to enhance system reliability and performance.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve and proactively prevent issues.
Big Data Platforms: Basic knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components (e.g., HDFS, Hive, Spark) is an advantage.
Scheduling: Experience with Autosys or other job schedulers is a plus.
Relevant OS or Administration certifications are preferred.
