Job description

The Information Service Group is seeking a Technical Lead to build and manage the reference data ETL team. The Tech Lead will establish the team in Canada, collaborate with ETL developers across NAM, EMEA, and India (APAC), oversee deliverables, provide architectural guidance, enforce best Citi practices, conduct code reviews, develop support processes, and serve as an escalation point during production outages.

Event Master Central (EMC) and Securities Reference Data are global reference data management applications responsible for sourcing securities/events and pricing data from market vendors and internal Citi sources, then providing it to downstream clients after applying client-specific rules.

This role offers a challenging and exciting opportunity to join a team supporting one of the world's largest financial institutions within the Information Services Group systems (ISG).

Responsibilities:

1. Opportunity to expand current role into Strategic Reference Data initiatives.
2. Collaborate with global tech leads on other project initiatives.
3. Interact with the global development team, including Business Analysts, and coordinate with vendor teams on deliverables.
4. Address complex issues with significant impact, evaluating alternatives and balancing needs.
5. Build and manage senior and junior ETL developers.
6. Work directly with global application development and operations teams to ensure successful integration.
7. Manage deliverables, provide architectural guidance, enforce best practices, conduct code reviews, and develop support processes. Serve as escalation point during outages.
8. Stay updated on new technologies and assess their adoption within ISG.
9. Streamline processes and promote consistent development and operational approaches across onsite and remote teams.
10. Coordinate and manage key projects with vendor teams.

Qualifications/Experience:

1. 7+ years of experience in designing and delivering ETL solutions within a Reference Data Team.
2. Experience managing reference data systems and knowledge of securities and pricing data.
3. Proven ability to handle complex technical issues across the project lifecycle.
4. Strong command of ETL architecture and tools (e.g., Abinitio), and relational databases.
5. Experience working in demanding, results-driven, time-critical environments.
6. Ability to work with diverse technologies (Java, Web Services, C#/.NET) across multiple regions.
