Job summary

Wright Tree Service of Canada is seeking an Apprentice Utility Arborist to join our field teams. This full-time role involves physically demanding outdoor work, loading and unloading materials, and assisting in site setup while following safety protocols.

We offer a competitive hourly wage of 30 to 36 CAD, benefits including medical and dental, live-out allowance where applicable, and opportunities for employee ownership after tenure.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of trees, including identification and growth habits.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record; air brakes endorsement is a plus.
• Willingness to work long hours, overtime, and in physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris, or feed brush into a woodchipper.
• Assist in site set-up and take-down, including equipment handling and maintaining site cleanliness.
• Commitment to working safely and supporting a positive team environment.
• Perform physically demanding manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Other duties as required.
