Job summary

Avenir Energy Ltd. is seeking a 310T Apprentice Truck Technician to join our growing fleet maintenance team. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty trucks and related equipment to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will work under a registered apprenticeship or licensed technician and contribute to safety compliance and high-quality workmanship. The role involves hands-on diagnostics, scheduled maintenance, and emergency roadside support, with emphasis on adherence to OHSA and

Qualifications

Registered Apprentice (310T), preferably in the first or second year.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and best practices related to heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair.
Experience with computer-based diagnostic tools and systems.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
High attention to safety and efficiency in all work practices.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; AZ or DZ license is an asset.
SAP experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections per specifications.
Conduct repairs on gas and diesel engines and truck systems.
Complete emergency roadside repairs when required.
Examine and adjust safety-related components including guards and bolts.
