Our Registered Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technicians, when not in school, will continue to learn on the job with our experienced, trusted Technicians, gradually progressing to achieve a Licensed Technician opportunity.

In a typical day, YOU will:

  • Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviors at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, programs, and initiatives
  • Repair Caterpillar and other brands of equipment for our customers in a timely and economical manner
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
  • Prepare service reports and documentation accurately and promptly
  • Meet our internal and external customer needs professionally, efficiently, and knowledgeably in a positive environment of teamwork, career development, and lifelong learning, with opportunities across our business

Must-haves for this role:

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Currently enrolled in or completed a Post-Secondary Heavy Equipment Technician program
