Join us to apply for the Apprentice Technician - 2nd/3rd Level role at AutoCanada.

This is a full-time, immediate hire position at Plaza Nissan in Hamilton, Ontario. AutoCanada is the largest Canadian owned and publicly traded automotive dealer group operating in Canada and the US, committed to innovation, data-driven decisions, and excellence.

Position Overview

The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing oil changes, tire services, multi-point inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on various vehicle systems. Candidates should have experience in oil changes and tire services, basic computer skills, and shop experience. A valid Ontario driver's license and physical ability to meet demands are required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform oil & filter changes
  • Sell lubrication, safety inspections, & related services
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and present findings to Service Advisor
  • Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, & maintenance
  • Inspect hoses, belts, brakes, engines, and electrical systems
  • Use computerized diagnostics to identify faults
  • Replace or repair vehicle parts as needed
Must-Haves
  • 2nd/3rd Level Apprentice experience
  • Oil change & tire experience (asset)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Shop/dealership experience (preferred)
  • Ability to meet physical demands
  • Valid Canadian Driver's license with safe driving history
