Job summary

Laing Roofing Ltd. in Kelowna, BC, is hiring an Apprentice Roofer. The role is on-the-road with 30 to 40 hours per week, paying $30.00 to $35.00 per hour. No degree required; 2–3 years experience preferred. Tasks include installing built-up and single-ply roofing, shingles, metal roofs, and waterproof coatings at various locations.

The position offers health benefits, dental, vision, and on-the-job training for youth. Morning or day shifts available.

Qualifications

• Experience installing built-up roofing systems and shingles on sloped roofs.
• Ability to install single-ply roofing systems and repair roofing elements.
• Willingness to work outdoors at heights and travel to various locations.

Responsibilities

• Install built-up roofing systems using asphalt felts, hot asphalt, and gravel.
• Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles, shakes, and clay tiles on sloped roofs.
• Install single-ply roofing systems and repair waterproof coatings.
• Repair or replace roofing systems and install metal roofs.
