Job summary

Flynn Canada Ltd. in Winnipeg is seeking an Apprentice roofer who is self-motivated and has good interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will start work as soon as possible on a permanent, full-time basis with LMIA approval.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
• Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems (asphalt felts, hot asphalt, gravel).
• Install, repair or replace single-ply roofing systems (modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic materials).

• The candidate must install and repair metal roofs with hand and power tools.
• The candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, or replacing built-up roofing systems with materials such as asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel.
• The candidate will be required to install, repair, or replace a single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.

• The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
