Qualifications

• Ability to show up to work on time every day.
• Meet the physical demands of the job for lifting, standing, kneeling, etc.
• Ability to take orders and follow instructions.
• Ability to complete work and meet deadlines with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout of plumbing systems.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Test pipes for leaks using gauges.
• Mentor and train apprentices.

Skills

Blueprint reading

Knowledge of current Plumbing Code

Plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair skills

Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

Ability to work alone or as part of a work crew

Ability to lead others in troubleshooting and emergency repairs

Ability to prioritize workloads and utilize planning & time management skills

Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Education

Valid Apprenticeship card

Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
