Qualifications

• Currently registered 1st and 2nd year Plumber Apprentice.
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Experience with hand and power tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installation of plumbing in modular units from rough in to finishing.
• Troubleshooting and testing of plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Following safety procedures in all tasks.

Skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Ability to work safely with tools

Ability to lift heavy equipment

Education

We are looking for an energetic, passionate, reliable 1st and 2nd-year Apprentice Plumber to join our Calgary Manufacturing Plant. This is a union-based position.

Reporting to the Lead hand, Plumber Apprentice is responsible for assisting in plumbing duties and also supports the installation of HVAC equipment in modular buildings/units from rough in to finishing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Installation of plumbing in modular units from rough in to finishing
• Installation of water pipes, drainages and fixtures
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the plumbing system, water supply network and drainage systems
• Troubleshooting and testing of all plumbing fixtures and systems in the modular units
• Follow all safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Job Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Plumbing program and meet the qualifications as a registered 1st and 2nd year Plumber Apprentice.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools and materials
• Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time
• Capacity to lift heavy equipment and materials when required
