Most of our solutions are related to Energy Transition and carbon reduction industries.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Startec Compression & Process is currently recruiting an Assembly Fitter to work at our Shepard Shop (9423 Shepard Rd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 4R6). The Journeyperson Pipefitter plays a vital role in mounting majors and assembling small-bore and large-bore piping systems according to drawings on various skidded packages. Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, work is completed by reading and interpreting P&IDs, GA’s and Piping Specifications. Additionally, they may mentor apprentices for skill development. Shift Schedule - 4:30-2:20 (4 days/week,10 hours/day). Overtime is as required.
QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Registered apprentice.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • A team player with good organizational skills and excellent communication skills
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
ASSEMBLY
  • Installation and placement of major equipment.
  • Installation and support of spooling.
  • Skid layout for small bore piping.
  • Fitting of the socket and screwed small bore pipe.
  • Read, interpret and red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID's, G.A.’s)
  • Tack welding experience is an asset
SAFETY
  • Maintain a safe work environment

  • Participate in project reviews with engineering & drafting
