Placements24 in Kimberley, South Africa, is seeking Apprentices to learn painting and decorating from surface prep to final finish on residential and commercial projects. You will work with experienced professionals across various sites, gaining practical skills and practical safety knowledge during the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older (if applicable)
• Interest in painting and decorating trade
• Good physical condition for standing and heights
• Strong work ethic and punctuality
• Ability to work in a team

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman painters with surface preparation (sanding, scraping, priming)
• Learn to apply paint, varnish and finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
• Safely set up and use ladders, scaffolding and access equipment
• Mix paints and match colors according to specifications
• Maintain tools and keep the work area clean and organized
• Follow health and safety guidelines on site
