Job summary

The Seaboard Transport Group in Sherwood Park, AB is seeking Apprentice Mechanics to join our family-owned team. You will perform maintenance and repairs to meet safety standards and participate in safety meetings.

Ideal candidates hold an apprentice certification as a truck/trailer mechanic, have strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, and are comfortable using computers. Experience with tankers/trucks/welding is an asset. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and career growth.

Qualifications

Apprentice certification as a truck/trailer mechanic.
B620 inspector experience is a plus.
Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency with computers.
High level of professionalism and teamwork.
Experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers, or welding is an asset.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs in adherence to safety standards and regulations.
Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
Engage in professional and service-oriented interactions with colleagues.
Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
Diagnose issues and communicate required parts effectively.
Conduct preventative maintenance and annual motor vehicle inspections.
Stay up to date with work-related training and development opportunities.
