Job description

Are you a skilled Apprentice 2-4 or Journeyperson Carpenter looking for an exciting opportunity to work on a major industrial project? At Ledcor, we take pride in safety, quality, and craftsmanship, and we’re looking for dedicated professionals to join our team for the Dow LP8 Path2Zero expansion project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend drawings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, and measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions.
  • Understand concrete forming and engineered forming systems to accurately build concrete forms.
  • Skilled with traditional and engineered forming systems.
  • Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location.
  • Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Carpenter ticket from a recognized provincial training authority.
  • Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of commercial or industrial related experience.
  • Apprentice Carpenters (levels 2-4) must be registered with a provincial training authority.
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
  • ESC Confined Space.

Work Conditions:

  • Project to commence in April 2025.
  • Work schedule: 5 days on, and 7 days off plus statutory holidays off.
  • Extended health benefits provided by CLAC.
  • This is a local position—candidates must reside in the Greater Edmonton area. No camp accommodations or travel allowances provided.
