Apprentice Heavy Duty Technician - Calmont Leasing

Join our team at Calmont Leasing as an Apprentice Heavy Duty Technician in Calgary, AB. We are part of the Calmont Group, a well-established Canadian company with nearly 50 years of experience in delivering transportation solutions across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario.

What You’ll Do

Shifts available: Day shift and Evening shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)

Under general supervision, perform skilled work in the adjustment, maintenance, and repair of light and heavy-duty trucks. Responsibilities include:

  • Review work orders with the Shop Foreman to understand the tasks.
  • Interpret work orders and technical manuals to diagnose faults.
  • Perform repairs and replace defective parts accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspect vehicles for safety and additional service needs.
  • Test vehicles post-repair to ensure proper performance and compliance with regulations.
  • Complete detailed reports upon work completion.
What We’re Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of related industry experience.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License; Class 3 considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
