Job summary

Shermco Canada, based in Regina, Saskatchewan, seeks a motivated Apprentice Electrician to gain hands-on experience across diverse industrial projects. You will work under experienced professionals committed to safety, quality, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities include assisting with installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems, traveling to project sites as needed, and progressing through structured training aligned with your apprenticeship level.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or eligible to register as an Apprentice Electrician with SATCC.
• Commitment to completing required technical training (in-school) and on-the-job hours.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness and availability to travel for project-based work.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical tasks under supervision of a Journeyperson Electrician per SATCC regulations.
• Assist in installation, construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Work with low, medium, and high voltage systems appropriate to training level.
• Participate in progressive skills development aligned with apprenticeship level.
• Accurately record hours worked and tasks toward apprenticeship requirements.
• Support troubleshooting and testing of electrical and control systems.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Travel to project sites, including out-of-town work, as required.
