Job summary

E1 Electrical Ltd. is hiring a 3rd year Apprentice Electrician for our commercial construction team in Calgary. You will participate in tenant improvements, new builds, and renovations across the area, gaining hands-on experience toward your journeyperson ticket.

Responsibilities include installing and wiring systems, terminations, and fire alarm devices, with guidance from a journeyperson. A strong safety mindset and the ability to read drawings are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered 3rd year apprentice actively seeking on-site experience.
• Experience in commercial tenant fit-out work.
• Able to read drawings and apply the CE Code.
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.
• Safety tickets (WHMIS, CSTS, Fall Arrest, AWP, First Aid) are assets but not required.

• Clear path to a journeyperson on our team.

• Rough-in, install, and verify fire alarm devices and wiring.
• 3rd years: take on assigned tasks with less direct supervision and regular check-ins from your journeyperson (on-site).
• Work from drawings, panel schedules, and layouts, and help direct junior apprentices.
• Follow all safety procedures on site and keep a clean, organized work area.

The Role

What We're Looking For

• From $28/hr to $31/hr
• 10% vacation + stat pay paid on every hour
