Job summary

Conestoga College in Cambridge, Ontario, is seeking a Regular Part-Time Support Staff member for the Child Development Practitioner program (Apprenticeship). You will learn while working at the Silverheights Child and Youth Development Centre, supporting health, safety, meals, and program activities for children aged 0-4.

This role requires First Aid/CPR, immunization compliance, and a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Qualifications

• Current registration in a Child Development Practitioner Program (Apprenticeship) is required.
• Standard First Aid and CPR training required.
• Completion of a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
• A Food Handler certificate is considered an asset.
• Ability to comply with immunization requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Health, safety, food service and program support in the Centre.
• Prepare, serve, and clean up catered snacks and lunch daily.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitize equipment.
• Provide ongoing supervision of children during routines and play.
• Collaborate with the Centre team and participate in staff meetings.
