Dunn Dodge Portage in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, is seeking an Apprentice Technician. You’ll start with foundational tasks like oil changes and tire services while pursuing your Automotive Service Technician Red Seal, under a Red Seal journeyperson.

This is more than an entry-level shop position, with growth into diagnostics and electrical work as you advance through levels. This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience on RAM, Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler vehicles, with raises at each

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Local to Portage la Prairie and surrounding area.
• Strong communication and ability to contribute positively to a team.
• Accountable, dependable, and committed to following through on commitments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Honest, trustworthy, and committed to doing the right thing.
• All apprentices are welcome to apply (Levels 1-4).

Responsibilities

• Work alongside a Red Seal journeyperson for one-to-one mentorship.
• Complete foundational automotive service work, including oil changes and tire services.
• Develop skills as you progress through apprenticeship levels.
• Gain hands-on experience with diagnostics, engine, transmission, and electrical work.
• Work on RAM, Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler vehicles.
• Participate in training and work toward your Automotive Service Technician Red Seal.
• Have apprenticeship hours reported every six months to keep training on track.
