Job summary

AWIN-BMW Richmond Hill is seeking an Apprentice Automotive Technician to join its BMW Richmond Hill dealership in Ontario. You will work under the supervision of a Licensed Technician, performing routine maintenance and minor repairs as part of a dedicated service team.

The role offers hands-on training, mentorship, and a supportive environment within a premier automotive group that values skill development, teamwork, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Registration with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities in Ontario.
  • Clear Driver’s Abstract.
  • Ontario College of Trades membership.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
  • Knowledge and use of power, machine and hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team, managing time and workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs under supervision.
  • Follow repair orders and perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with Shop Foreman or Service Consultants for additional work.
  • Obtain and return parts from the Parts Department.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop.

Our BMW Richmond Hilldealership is looking for a Apprentice Automotive Technician to join their amazing team!

Job Purpose

The Apprentice Technician works on routine maintenance jobs and repairs vehicles under the supervision of a Licensed Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Perform services based on general maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Perform the tasks described in the repair orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Contact the Shop Foreman and/or Service Consultants if additional work is required.
  • Use appropriate tools, test equipment, and report defective or poorly functioning equipment to management.
  • Obtain required parts from the Parts Department.
  • Re turn parts to Parts Department as required.
  • Maintain and develop skill levels in repair and service of vehicles.
  • Remain informed on Federal and Provincial Regulations and Municipal bylaws. This may include laws governing the removal of hazardous waste, etc.; understand and observe all regulations and bylaws.
  • Ensure that the shop is clean and tidy.
  • Perform other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions. For example, shuttle driver duties, car wash duties, valet parking, assist the Sales Lot Attendants as needed.
