Job summary

Midas is seeking automotive technicians in Collingwood to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to develop skills in vehicle diagnostics and repairs in a collaborative environment. With on-the-job training available and a variety of tasks from tire repair to engine diagnostics, Midas provides a path to becoming a licensed technician while adhering to safety standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Job description

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair utilizing the expertise attained through years of automotive repair experience. You are currently registered as an apprentice in the province of Ontario. We are looking for automotive technicians that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success! If you want to improve your skills and become a license technician, this is the place you can learn and achieve your goal. Responsibilities As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, including: (We can also can train you for these responsibilities).

• Tires and tire repair
• Batteries, starting and charging
• Oil services

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
• Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires & engine diagnostics
• Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools
• Provincial Certificate of Qualification
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to service both import and domestic vehicles

Compensation: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
