Job description

Overview

Fountain Tire Aldergrove, an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice (3rd or 4th year).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and complete service on customer vehicles as directed by work orders
• Complete and maintain a variety of safety courses including Whimis, TIA, Rim Safety course, and Customer Experience Standards
• Advise customers and customer-facing Associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups
• Ensure safety for yourself and your coworkers
• Operate company and customer vehicles in a safe and clean manner
• Maintain mechanical service equipment regularly
• Assist in inventory management through documentation and annual counts
• Take pride in your work, keeping customers safe and on the road!

Working conditions:

• A team environment where hard work, concise communication, and clear-headedness are rewarded
• Regular lifting of approximately 25KG
• Work may be unpredictable, physical, wet, cold, windy, etc., requiring resilience
• Nearly constant standing, crouching, or kneeling

Qualifications:

• Must be registered in an Automotive Apprenticeship program (3rd or 4th year)
• A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driver's abstract
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
• A team player proud of their work
