Qualifications

Job description

We're currently seeking a full-time 2nd or 3rd year Automotive Refinishing Tech Apprentice at our Queensway location, in Prince George. We offer competitive starting wages for new apprentices with a starting range of $20-$24 per hour. As part of our mentorship program, apprentices receive a start-up tool kit from the company that will be gifted to them upon successful completion of the Red Seal certification and one additional year of employment.

Key Responsibilities

The Apprentice will be responsible for:

  • Assisting journeyman technicians in any and all duties
  • Document in progress repairs, including photo documentation
  • Maintaining painting tools and equipment
  • Mixing paints and primers to exact specifications
  • Assist in cleaning and polishing painted surfaces and imperfections to meet Craftsman standards
  • Reviewing work orders
  • Maintaining shop equipment and facility


Requirements

  • Have either completed pre-apprentice training in collision repair or be in their first or second year of apprenticeship
  • Be comfortable in a team-oriented environment
  • Have a strong work ethic, integrity and ambition to succeed
  • Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract over the last 3 years
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions
