Job summary

Starlink Aviation inc. in Dorval, Quebec, is seeking an apprentice-like technician to perform routine maintenance tasks under the guidance of the Maintenance Director. This role offers a path to quickly qualify for an AME M1 or M2 license as you gain hands-on experience.

The position requires bilingual French and English, and eligibility to obtain RAIC. You will work with a dynamic team and develop strong procedural knowledge while adhering to aircraft specifications and manuals.

Qualifications

  • On track to obtain a Transport Canada AME license or 70% of logbook completion.
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and operations.
  • Able to perform tasks in accordance with aircraft specifications and maintenance manuals.
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
  • Bilingual French and English.

Job description

Your role

Reporting to the Maintenance Director, your role will be to perform routine maintenance tasks planned by your coordinator. This opportunity will allow you to gain the varied experience necessary to quickly qualify for an AME M1 or M2 license.

Requirements
  • On track to obtain a valid Transport Canada AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) license, or having a logbook completed to at least 70%;
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and operations;
  • Perform tasks in accordance with aircraft specifications and maintenance manuals;
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status;
  • Bilingual French and English:
    • Reason:
      • Signing documents in English: Procedures, specifications and technical regulations are in English.
  • Eligible to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC);
  • Class 5 driver's license.
Profile
  • Working towards becoming a licensed technician;
  • Previous experience in a related position as an apprentice is an asset;
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure;
  • Detail-oriented;
  • Positive attitude;
  • Good team spirit;
  • Good communication skills.
