Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Permanent Full Time)

Vancouver BC

Expected Salary : $19.13 to $30.60 hourly.

Additionally, an extensive compensation package is provided.

We are expanding our Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) to include AW169 maintenance and are recruiting Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineers based in Parksville and Vancouver, BC. All AMEs will report to the Crew Chief for maintenance and repair tasks.

In this role, you will:

  1. Work efficiently alone and in teams on scheduled maintenance under a licensed AME's guidance.
  2. Maintain, adjust, modify, test, diagnose, and repair AW169 aircraft mechanical systems.
  3. Complete task and work cards in CAMP.
  4. Operate specialized aviation tools, computers, and diagnostic equipment.
  5. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
  6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  7. Perform aircraft cleaning duties (interior and exterior, excluding biohazards).
  8. Follow safety policies, manuals, and procedures, including the MPM.
  9. Report hazards, incidents, or accidents via the reporting system.
  10. Accurately log labor hours for all tasks.
  11. Work according to Transport Canada guidelines.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate:

  • Enrolled in or graduated from an accredited AME apprenticeship or diploma program.
  • Experienced with rotary-wing aircraft, especially Leonardo Helicopters AW-Family, particularly AW169.
  • Familiar with CAMP Winair or similar maintenance programs.
  • Organized with good communication skills in English.
  • Physically capable of sitting, crouching, walking, standing, and working in confined spaces.
  • Willing to undertake shift work and travel for up to 2 weeks.
  • Eligible for a Canadian Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
  • Authorized to work in Canada or able to obtain a Canadian passport.
  • Holds a valid driver's license.
