Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME)

SkyCare is a private family-owned and operated company with an unmatched passion for providing essential air travel that literally saves lives. Our success means we are growing as a dynamic and exciting air ambulance and air charter service. We are based in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. With additional bases in Manitoba and Southern Ontario, we provide private, corporate, and medevac flight services as far north as the Arctic Circle and as far south as the Equator. We fly when and where our passengers need to go! All of us provide the highest level of safety, comfort, and care to our passengers – every flight.

Salary : $22.15 - $27.30 per hour based on full-time hours. Start rate will be commensurate with education and experience. Salary progression based on merit.

Job Summary & Responsibilities :

This position is responsible for performing various maintenance duties under the supervision of a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME). They report issues affecting the serviceability or aircraft and ensure that they are maintained in accordance with Company policies and procedures and Transport Canada regulations.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent work experience required
  • Previous experience with Aircraft Maintenance Systems (AMS) an asset
  • Previous experience with Navajo Chieftain and Metro / Merlin aircraft an asset
  • A strong commitment to Safety & Compliance
  • Motivated individual who is dedicated to learning
  • An individual who can work independently and in a team environment
