Job description

We are looking to recruit an Apprentice to support the Children Team located in our Peterborough office. The position is full-time with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5.30 pm, including 1 hour unpaid break. You will be studying an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (Legal).

Activities:
  1. Provide administrative and typing support to the Children Department
  2. Take telephone messages and make appointments
  3. Open and close files
  4. Archive original documents
  5. Support fee earners in the department
  6. Assist with main office duties, including reception and post dispatch, during lunch, holidays, and sickness absences
  7. Photocopy and scan documents
  8. Undertake regular training as identified by the appraisal process
  9. Assist in the preparation of bundles
  10. Prepare interim bills
  11. Assist in legal aid applications
  12. Manage diaries
  13. Perform any other duties as required by the business
Skills and attributes:

You should be a good communicator, as you will interact with staff and the public. Good organisational skills are also beneficial.
