Job summary

Brockville Ford is seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our Service Department in Brockville, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills under the guidance of experienced technicians and gain hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles while progressing through apprenticeship.

The successful candidate will work with a team, complete oil changes and basic services, and participate in Ford factory training.

Qualifications

• Registered Apprentice Technician or willingness to register.
• Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with a clean abstract.
• Strong interest in automotive repair and diagnostics.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with vehicles.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed technicians in performing vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Complete oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and basic vehicle services.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures and safety standards.
• Perform vehicle inspections and document findings accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Use tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems correctly.
• Support the Service Department in achieving productivity and customer satisfaction goals.
• Participate in training and apprenticeship development programs.
• Follow dealership policies and workplace safety requirements.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed technicians in performing vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Complete oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and basic vehicle services.
• Learn and follow manufacturer repair procedures and safety standards.
• Perform vehicle inspections and document findings accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Properly use tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems.
