Job Description

Assist patients with hygiene activities such as toileting, bathing, brushing teeth, and changing clothes.

Support patients with their meals by feeding them.

Regularly wash and clean.

Monitor vital signs and report associated symptoms to a registered nurse.

Provide and clean bed linen.

Assist patients with mobility problems to move.

Transport patients through wheelchair or stretcher for treatment or surgery.

Carry messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens among departments.

Maintain stock of supplies.

May carry out preservation duties, including helping with setup and preservation of traction equipment, sterilizing equipment, repairing equipment, and assembling or setting up job-related equipment.

Transport patients among care facilities if needed.

Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.

Accompany patients on outdoor leisure activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort.

Organize and suggest activities with patients and accompany them.

Monitor exercises performed by patients.

Prepare and transport patients undergoing treatment and surgery.

Distribute messages, reports, requests, and templates between departments.

Make beds and keep patient rooms clean.

Maintain inventory of materials and equipment.

Install, maintain, disinfect, repair, and sterilize equipment.

Transport patients between medical facilities as required.

Requirements
  • Valid nursing license.
  • First experience as a nurse’s assistant.
  • Completed maternal assistant training.
