• Concepts are planned by researching relevant information and materials.
• Concepts are illustrated by creating examples of art arrangement, size, type size, and style, then submitting them for approval.
• Creating finished artwork using the necessary equipment and software.
• Coordinate with outside agencies, art services, web designers, marketing, printers, and colleagues as needed.
• Contribute to team efforts by completing tasks as they arise.
• Discuss layout and design with clients.
• Use software such as Photoshop to create a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites.
• Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
• Brainstorm image ideas with marketing and design teams.
• Create rough draft illustrations according to client specifications.
• Specify any budget or time constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, or a related field is required.
• Experience as a graphic designer or in a related field is preferred.
• Graphic design skills and a strong portfolio are required.
• Proficiency in desktop publishing tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, Quark, and Illustrator is required.
• A keen sense of visual composition.
• Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines are required.
• Capable of giving and receiving constructive criticism.
• Knowledge of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
• Understanding of computer-aided design.
