Job summary

Meta is seeking a Security Engineer to join our Applied Artificial Intelligence (AAI) organization. You will blend deep security expertise with frontier AI techniques, building AI-augmented defenses and shaping AI-driven security systems.

You will prototype security products, conduct adversary research, and collaborate with engineers, product teams, and researchers to improve security posture across Meta's AI platforms.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in CS, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on security engineering in domains like threat intel, incident response, or cloud security.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, C/C++, or shell scripting.
• Experience building security systems and engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Apply deep security domain expertise to solve complex problems requiring multi-step reasoning.
• Prototype AI-driven security solutions and defenses at scale.
• Conduct adversarial research, threat intelligence analysis, and detection engineering.
• Collaborate with model researchers to translate security insights into training signals.
• Drive end-to-end execution of security initiatives and share findings internally.
