Job description

The Applications Development Senior Manager is a senior management position responsible for leading a team or department to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The primary goal of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities :

• Manage one or more Applications Development teams to achieve established goals, including personnel duties such as performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
• Provide technical oversight across systems and applications utilizing in-depth knowledge across multiple Applications Development areas.
• Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects.
• Contribute to the formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how business areas integrate to meet organizational goals.
• Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complex situations.
• Monitor delivery of results, participate in budget management, and handle day-to-day staff management issues, including resource allocation.
• Ensure adherence to essential procedures and contribute to defining standards, negotiating with external parties when necessary.
• Assess risks appropriately when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding the firm's reputation, and maintaining high standards of conduct and business practices.
• Supervise activities of others, creating accountability and managing control issues transparently.
• Possess knowledge in C++, Python, MongoDB, Spark, APIs, Cloudera, Elastic Search.
