What We Are Looking For

Ability to work as Application Consultant – Laboratory makes you the perfect candidate for this position. The successful candidate enjoys working in a team-orientated environment, and has excellent technical expertise, communication, leadership and customer service skills in Information Technology and Laboratory.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Diploma or Degree in Healthcare Science or Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Advanced courses in Laboratory Information Systems an asset
  • Strong theoretical and technical experience in Information Management
  • Experience with Meditech Expanse including Laboratory and Order Management and other related Modules is required
  • Experience with OLIS, Connecting Ontario, networking and other applications are essential
  • Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with Ontario Laboratory Accreditation Diagnostics Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service focus and job commitment
  • Demonstrates a positive and professional outlook in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

Work Schedule

The successful candidate will be required to work shifts during the week (Monday - Friday).
