Working Hrs.: 7.25 Hrs. / day

Must have:

1. 10+ years' industry experience in telecommunications and telecommunications technologies including:
   1. Wireless network technologies including fixed wireless, 802.11 ac, WSTV with UHF 802.11 af or 802.16, Client, microwave P2MP wireless and LTE
   2. Other data transport technologies including fibre optic cable, FTTN, FTTH, coaxial cable and VDSL2
   3. WAN including SDN (SD-WAN, SD-Branch, SD-Edge)
   4. LAN including Wi-Fi
   5. Hardware including switches and routers
   6. Transmission protocols including Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) and IP transit
2. 4+ years' hands-on experience with software-defined networking (SDN, SD-WAN, SD Edge), in particular Fortinet, Meraki, Palo Alto preferably for Ontario K-12 school boards

Must have school board experience

Travel Requirements

The resource(s) must be available to travel the same day or overnight in Ontario, as required. For this role, frequent travel to northern, rural and remote Ontario locations, with extended overnight stays, will be required. The resource(s) will work with the school boards and local public health units to ensure all required COVID-19 safety measures are followed when on-site at schools. Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to the Ontario Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
