Job description

Arobas Personnel is looking for a Application Support Specialist for a contract with one of our clients located in Montréal.

*Remote : Hybrid- 3 days/week in the office*

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Apply your advanced knowledge of Fixed Income trading systems to support mission-critical production environments.
• Lead incident management efforts: coordinate with business and technology teams to investigate and resolve issues, from external market disruptions to internal application failures.
• Conduct problem management reviews post-incident, ensuring root cause resolution and identifying preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Investigate order flow anomalies and respond to business queries with detailed analysis.
• Handle technical and compliance-related queries, including audit and regulatory reporting.
• Compile and analyze trade data for business stakeholders.
• Perform morning and evening system checks in coordination with offshore teams to ensure trading readiness.
• Continuously improve and optimize the use of monitoring tools.
• Oversee release management, ensuring that changes are reviewed, understood, and scheduled with minimal risk to the production environment.
• Participate in project initiatives such as data center migrations and system obsolescence efforts.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong hands-on knowledge of UNIX and Windows server environments.
• Solid foundation in networking concepts and protocols.
• Expertise in TIBCO Rendezvous (RV) messaging systems.
• Practical experience with Dynatrace and Geneos monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with Jenkins and Ansible for deployment and automation.
• Proven ability to support Windows/UNIX GUI applications, including use of SQL for data extraction and reporting.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability when resolving issues.
• Scripting experience in Shell and Python, with a focus on process automation.
• Exposure to ECNs, Smart Order Routers, market data feeds, and application configuration.
• Deep technical understanding of trading systems, including order flow and order book behavior.

Nice to have:

• Cloud knowledge is a definite asset (e.g. AWS, Azure).
