Position Description:
Our team focuses on the development and operations of accounting IT systems for regulatory, management, and performance monitoring purposes. We align with local (America) and global business lines within the Global Banking and Investor Solutions section of the group. We are part of a family of services linked to Finance, Risk, and Management.
Our current goals include improving business partner systems, migrating legacy applications to a public cloud, and promoting in-house data science platforms. There are also opportunities to participate in "Great Place to Work" initiatives and activities within the Montréal Service Center.
What will be your day-to-day?
Primary responsibilities as a Functional Application Support Analyst include:
- Providing hands-on functional support, responding to user requests, analyzing functional processes related to technical investigations, and collaborating with BAs and developers for testing and homologation.
- Serving as a Point of Contact in AMER for one or more functional areas regarding user and project requests.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Studying and analyzing functional requirements, issues, bugs, and processes in fixed income, equities, securities, and processing domains.
- Coordinating solution workshops, documenting requirements with BAs and developers.
- Working with users to produce test plans and user sign-off criteria, involved in testing analysis and documentation, and reviewing results with end-users.
- Working collaboratively to solve problems, identify issues, and suggest improvements.
- Providing rapid resolution for functional and technical issues, reporting incidents appropriately, and engaging with end-users including Traders, Sellers, Auditors, and Middle Office.
- Addressing functional problems in a complex financial environment with varied applications and architectures.
- Offering functional and technical expertise, maintaining support guides, and analyzing logs to ensure quality solutions.
- Communicating with users regarding application failures and liaising with global teams from New York, Paris, and Bangalore.
- Understanding regulatory constraints and performing homologation/post-deployment testing.
- Responding within set timeframes, documenting issues, and updating project statuses effectively.
- Collaborating with global support teams to ensure quality support for end-users.
Required qualifications:
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- 2+ years experience with SQL Server.
- Experience with Unix, Linux, and Windows server environments.
- Languages: French and English.
- Knowledge of Autosys programming.
Work experience:
- Minimum of 2 years as an application support analyst in the financial industry.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computers, Engineering, Finance, or related fields.
Work Schedule:
- Availability for on-call duties during nights and weekends.
Proficiency in both English and French is required for collaboration with international colleagues and clients.
