We are seeking an Application Support Analyst to join our Toronto-based Projects & IT team responsible for implementing and supporting all back-office applications and systems. Reporting to the SVP Projects, the successful candidate will engage with a broad range of stakeholders across the business and with external clients and software vendors to support our users, investigate and resolve issues, and contribute to the ongoing stable performance of our IT applications.

How you\'ll contribute
  • Business partner - Work as a regular liaison with business partners, technology partners, senior management team, internal and external clients by being the user-facing production support contact.
  • Production support - Investigate and define operational issues and prioritize based on severity, risk and / or strategic business needs. Use knowledge effectively to triage issues and take proactive steps to understand it deeper. Document issues and solutions as required and suggest any proactive steps that can help team in future and make support more effective. Provide training and guidance to users.
  • Investigations - Providing investigation and second level support on user issues, technical issues, system / web site outages and escalating to the appropriate internal SMEs or software vendor support as required.
  • Project delivery – Participate in the roll-out of new applications by assisting in the testing, onboarding new users, and preparing training materials.
Requirements
  • Experience in Projects, IT or Applications Support at a Financial Services organization
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Business Technology Management, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to simplify complex issues for diverse audiences
  • Ability to effectively manage and engage stakeholders at all levels, fostering strong relationships and aligning expectations
  • Knowledge of the (re)insurance industry is an asset
