Job summary

MHIRJ, based in Mississauga, Ontario, seeks an Application Support Analyst to manage IETP-related issues, test apps, and QA publications. You will work with cross-functional teams to design and implement data processing solutions and maintain scripts, leveraging Azure services and PowerShell.

The role requires a computer science/engineering degree and 1–2 years of hands-on experience with XML, Python, SQL, and HTML, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support customers on IETP issues including troubleshooting root cause and timely fixes.
• Test IETP app, document bugs, coordinate with developers for fixes, update bug list, maintain release list.
• QA publication revisions produced by IETP data processing; push revisions online and offline.
• Maintain IETP data processing scripts and improve them as needed.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to design, implement and test IETP app and data processing solutions.
• Learn and introduce new technologies to improve performance and processes.

Job description

MHIRJ is the merging of two important heritages: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and the CRJ Series program. We provide comprehensive critical operational, engineering and customer support solutions including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry.

The Data and Application Services team is responsible for managing aircraft reliability data, business intelligences systems, Integrated Electronics Publication Application (IETP) system and related infrastructure.

Here are the daily responsibilities for an Application Support Analyst

• Support our customers on Integrated Electronics Publication Application (IETP) related issues including troubleshooting root cause and finding the fix on a timely manner.
• Test IETP app, document the bugs, coordinate with app developers for bug fixes, update the bug list, maintain the IETP app release list.
• QA technical publication new revision produced by IETP data processing. Push the new revision to online and offline IETP app.
• Maintain tech pub subscription integration to IETP including license generation and online IETP subscription update.
• Maintain IETP data processing scripts, improve the scripts when needed.
• Collaborate with business and technical team members to design, implement and test solutions for IETP app and data processing
• Be excited to learn and introduce the team to new technologies that improve performance, allow new features or improve our processes

The skills you bring:

• You hold a university degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences etc. and have 1-2 years experience in XML data processing and software Development.
• You have strong analytical skills, organizational, time-management, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented mindset and customer-oriented attitude.
• Solid hands-on experience on Python, SQL, XML and HTML.
• You have experience with Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, Azure App Services and other Azure tools and infrastructure
• Excellent experience on Command line, Unix/Linux and PowerShell scripts
• Excellent experience with MS Office 365 suite (particularly Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project)
• Experience with project management is an asset
• The position is based in our Mississauga, Ontario facility
