Job summary

Trane Technologies is hiring an Application Specialist - VRF in Canada to support the VRF business. The role involves partnering with Account Managers to deliver VRF solutions, aligning with leadership on growth plans and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in VRF applications with an engineering background, strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and are bilingual in French and English.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology with at least three years’ VRF experience.
• Knowledge of construction facets including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems preferred.
• Must be able to travel throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide VRF sales solutions with Account Managers in the assigned territory.
• Help implement and measure the VRF growth plan with leadership.
• Monitor and adjust processes to meet customer needs efficiently.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and taking corrective action.
• Assist with estimating, submittals and order entry as required.
• Build consultative relationships with engineers, owners and contractors.
• Support design-build teams with design, application and code compliance.

Trane Technologies is hiring an Application Specialist - VRF in Canada to support the VRF business.

What you will do:

• Responsible for providing VRF sales solutions that involve teaming with Account Mangers in assigned territory.
• Work with leadership to assist in implementing and measuring the VRF/ductless growth plan.
• Monitor, measure, and modify current process to effectively and efficiently meet customer needs.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, advising corrective action, and communicating with customers, and co-workers.
• Assist, as required in estimating, submittals, and order entry.
• Build consultative relationships and trust with engineering, owner, and contracting customers.
• Support engineers and design-build contractors with design, application, and code compliance.
• Understand market and implement overall sales strategy.
• Gathers and validates preliminary information and performs facility walk through, construction plan review or other requirements.
• Works with account manager to determine proposal price and selling strategy.
• Provide commercial and high level technical product sales training to district office personnel and customers as required.
• Identify product gaps, develop solutions to minimize the impact, and work with Product Management to prioritize and eliminate gaps.
• Responsible for keeping abreast of external market conditions and internal requirements related to portfolio. This includes energy rebates, tax incentives, and code within assigned territory
• Responsible for internal communication flow to and from the VRF Product Manager
• Bilingual (French and English) required because the role supports teams across Canada including Quebec.

What you will bring:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology with a minimum of three years’ experience in the application, selection, and/or installation of VRF systems; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Working knowledge of all facets of construction including mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, etc. preferred.
• Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$94,366.66 - $132,054.99
