Job Details

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide 1st and 2nd level support, ensuring ITIL incident, problem, and change management practices are followed, and Service Level Agreements are met.
  2. Lead the investigation of incidents and problems, and identify solutions by working closely with business users, development team, infrastructure team, and external vendors.
  3. Ensure workarounds/solutions are identified for problems to reduce impact to the business.
  4. Follow ITIL change and release management practices when promoting code to the production environment.
  5. Design, develop, and implement industry best practices to minimize risks related to ERP, CRM, Web Servers, FTP servers/Portals, and enterprise Healthcare Solutions.
  6. Create and update documentation and process flows related to existing and new systems when designing or updating solutions.
  7. Review and assess the feasibility of applying vendor-supplied application patches, determining their value and risk, and recommend support plans.
  8. Lead the deployment of application patches, working closely with vendors, internal development, QA, and infrastructure teams.
  9. Define technology roadmaps for supported systems and serve as the SME for application technology upgrade projects.
  10. Lead technical planning for application maintenance, support, and new capability projects based on requirements; research potential solutions.
  11. Perform systems acceptance and integration testing based on project needs, collaborating with QA as required.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Computer Science Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
  2. 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Experience working with ERP systems (Finance, warehouse, procurement modules), Web Technologies (IIS, SSL, .NET), pharmacy and healthcare systems, CRM solutions, and other systems.
  4. Working familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Servers.
  5. Experience with EDI is an asset.
  6. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Proven testing and documentation skills.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or similar, typically obtained through a four-year degree or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience with problem, Change, and Incident Management practices (ITIL).
  3. Certified technical resources (e.g., CCNA, MS SQL).
  4. Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  5. Strong technical problem-solving abilities.
  6. Customer service skills, enthusiasm, energy, and self-motivation to work independently.
