Your Impact

As an Application Specialist – Project Support, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our projects. Your technical expertise and collaborative approach will ensure that we meet and exceed our clients' expectations. Prepare standard drawings for each product line and variant to provide customers with documentation for quotations and customized orders.

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:

  • Prepare standard drawings for each line of products and variants

  • Develop and prepare electrical engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, or layouts from sketches, preliminary concepts, customer specifications.

  • Use CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) tools, Solidworks preferred.

  • Prepare tender and quality inspection documents and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Collect, create, maintain, and deliver project documentation

  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support, as required, especially with IRFQ / Quotes.

  • In charge of Vendor compliance process to meet deadlines.

  • Up sale current products and sales while ensuring sales targets are met.

Qualifications - External

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • College level (3 year) Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical / mechanical engineering.

  • A minimum of three years of engineering experience is required, including at least two years in a project-based environment.

  • Proficiency in the software Auto CAD / Solidworks, technical drawing knowledge, and strong attention to detail.

  • Detailed knowledge of Iris Power products and services is asset.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in 2D and 3D modeling, along with a solid understanding of drafting principles and industry standards

Working Conditions:

  • May involve visits to heavy industry locations with exposure to electrical, chemical, mechanical or radiation hazards.

  • Periodic travel to customer sites
