Application Security Engineer - Code Scanning (AppOmni)

Location: Halifax, NS (Permanent remote work accepted from anywhere in Canada; preference for EST and CST-based resources)

Must have: Experience with SSPM (AppOmni)

Position Overview:

The Application Security Engineer - Code Scanning will play a key role in risk assessment during the Certification and Accreditation process. This individual will design, develop, implement, and integrate information assurance architecture, systems, or components to secure various environments, including data centers, networks, and enclaves. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing risk assessments and providing security solutions while ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in risk assessment during the Certification and Accreditation process.
  2. Design, develop, implement, and integrate information assurance architecture, systems, or system components for use within data centers, networks, and enclave environments.
  3. Make decisions regarding work approach/priorities based on professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies, and operating standards.
  4. Manage work guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation.
