Job description

We are seeking a results-driven Application Sales Engineer to join our team and act as a trusted technical advisor to both internal and external customers. This position will play a critical role in supporting the sales team by delivering technical expertise across electrical products and solutions—including wires, cables and accessories.

Responsibilities :

• Serve as a technical consultant to customers and internal sales teams, offering deep product knowledge and application expertise across electrical systems.
• Support the sales team with RFP / RFQ bids by reviewing specifications, recommending products, and identifying competitive advantages.
• Deliver technical presentations on products and solutions to end users, engineering firms, contractors and internal team.
• Assist Customers and the Sales Team in selecting the right products based on application and needs.
• Identify strategic opportunities to grow business, improve offerings, and support the Sales team.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and technical documentation in CRM platforms.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Certified Red Seal Electrician.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales, preferably in the electrical distribution or manufacturing industry.
• Experience working with EPC firms, industrial contractors, and large end users.
• Able to read technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of electrical products, including wire, cable and accessories.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., CSA Codes and Standards).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical details into value-based solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively across departments.
