What You’ll Be Doing

CIBC is currently modernizing its wire payments platform, replacing the legacy system with a new platform. As a Production Support Consultant, you will join CIBC’s Global Wires and Payments Technology department to support a Tier 1 - Critical application that processes multi-billion high-value payment transactions. You will also manage the currency, capacity, and refresh of both the application and related software to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Details on work arrangements (on-site and remote work) will be discussed during your interview.

How You’ll Succeed
  • Application Analysis & Support: Identify and resolve production issues for a Tier 1 - Critical application promptly. Monitor services to identify improvements and support business activities.
  • Design and Development: Coordinate application programming for BAU changes. Design technical infrastructure using relevant databases, programming languages, and testing methods. Lead innovative, cost-effective solutions.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with the bank’s vision and goals.
Who You Are
  • Experience: 7+ years in IT, with 5+ years in 24/7 production support. Strong knowledge of Redhat Linux, IBM MQ/Kafka, SQL/Oracle, Java, Springboot, Node.js, Microservices (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker), File Transfer and scheduling software (Autosys). Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub Actions). Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 1 Critical applications, preferably in banking. Knowledge of incident, problem, change management, SWIFT products, and Citrix is a plus. Willing to support infrastructure upgrades and audits. Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and regulatory processes.
