Job Summary:

We are seeking an Application Engineer - Lighting Controls to work on design, programming, and commissioning for Lighting Controls applications, with potential involvement in other scopes depending on workloads. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design: Review project quotes, drawings, determine requirements, design lighting control systems, create shop drawings (schematics, panel layouts, control narrative, network/system diagrams, bill of materials), coordinate with customers and consultants, select components, obtain vendor quotes, programming and configuration of controllers.
  2. Production Support: Support production team post-approval, resolve conflicts, assist with shop testing, update as-built drawings, manage project documentation.
  3. Field Commissioning: Attend site for system testing, provide end-user training, troubleshoot issues, assist sales with estimates and proposals.
  4. Other Work Scope: Design drawings for various automation and control projects, assist with industrial controls design, standardize panel designs.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of electrical construction drawings and industry standards.
  • Controls programming skills and experience.
  • Computer skills including programming, databases, advanced Excel, graphics, AI.
  • Communication skills and network knowledge.
  • Industry experience in mechanical/electrical construction, manufacturing, or related fields.
  • Workplace process improvement training preferred.
  • Organized, punctual, and responsible.
