Job summary

You will work with FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Azure data tools to deliver robust platforms and APIs supporting critical business processes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with Python.
• Experience designing and delivering Python-based microservices, APIs.
• Proficient in REST/gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka.
• Data engineering with Python, PySpark, Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, ADLS, Airflow, SQL.
• Secure, enterprise-grade solutions including authentication and monitoring.
• Strong collaboration and cross-team communication.

Are you a seasoned Python Engineer ready to build scalable microservices and modern data solutions?

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Application Developer – Sr Python Engineer. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure Python microservices and APIs to support critical business platforms. The successful candidate will also modernize data engineering processes, work collaboratively across teams, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure Python microservices and APIs using FastAPI, REST/gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, and Kafka.
• Deliver a variety of APIs including internal platform, data ingestion, event-driven, batch processing, and authentication/authorization APIs.
• Build and optimize data solutions with Python, PySpark, Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Azure SQL, and SQL.
• Create reusable frameworks, automation patterns, and documentation to improve delivery quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with technology, business, security, and platform teams to translate complex requirements into practical, production-ready solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues, tune performance, support releases, and contribute to monitoring, knowledge transfer, and production readiness activities.

Desired Skill-Set

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in Python development.
• Proven experience designing and delivering Python-based microservices, APIs, and platform capabilities.
• Skilled in REST/gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka, and related technologies.
• Extensive experience building data engineering solutions with Python, PySpark, Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, and SQL.
• Adept at delivering secure, enterprise-standard solutions including authentication, authorization, testing, and monitoring.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing scalable data pipelines for high-volume enterprise workloads.
• Building reusable internal frameworks, shared services, or internal developer platforms.
• Use of AI-assisted engineering tools to enhance development, testing, or documentation processes.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, automation, or DevOps practices.
