Job summary

FinneyTaylor Consulting Group Ltd. in Edmonton seeks an Application Developer - Senior for Microsoft Power Platform solutions. You will design, build, and support Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and related Dynamics 365 components in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

Job Description : Our client in Edmonton is looking for an Application Developer!

Must Have Primary Skills :

Bachelordegree in Computer Science, IT or related field of study.

MicrosoftCertified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) and MicrosoftCertified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200 or AB-410),or equivalent experience, typically demonstrated through five (5) years ofhands-on experience designing, developing, implementing, and supportingMicrosoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate,Dataverse, and related Dynamics 365 applications.

Demonstratedexperience using Microsoft Copilot for Liquid translation, JS generation, andtroubleshooting.

Experiencedeveloping/migrating Adxstudio Portals (v8) to Power Apps Portals &Microsoft Power Pages.

Experiencedeveloping Adxstudio Portals (v8) and Power Apps Portals & MicrosoftPower Pages.

Experiencemigrating standard portal data models to Enhanced Data Model using PowerPlatform.

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :

Experienceintegrating Power Pages with external systems (payment processing, authprovider, SharePoint).

Experiencemapping legacy security roles to Dataverse Table Permissions and Web Roles inPower Pages.

Expertise inLiquid syntax, custom JavaScript, HTML5, custom logic and CSS3 refactoringwithin portal templates

Proven Experience In :

Migration Strategy & Technical Discovery: Analyze legacy Adxstudio portal architecture, identify customconfigurations (adx_ entities), contribute to field research, leadtechnical discovery, and deliver solution design artifacts.AI-Accelerated Code & Logic Conversion: Leverage enterprise AI development tools including MicrosoftCopilot (Copilot for Power Pages, GitHub Copilot) to translate legacy.NET/C# business logic into Liquid Web Templates, generate customJavaScript, and refactor CSS to modern standards.

Data Migration & Schema Refactoring: Use Power Platform CLI (pac ppa) and Dataverse migrationtools to migrate data from the standard model to the Enhanced DataModel.Form/List Modernization: RecreateEntity Forms, Web Forms, and Lists into modern Power Pages MultistepForms, using AI prompt engineering to accelerate field validation scriptsand optimize code.

System Integration & Security:Maintain seamless functionality across external integrations (paymentprocessing, authentication frameworks, SharePoint) and map legacy securityroles to Dataverse Table Permissions and Web Roles.

Testing, Deployment & Knowledge Sharing: Perform user acceptance testing (UAT), debug migration errorsvia AI diagnostic workflows, support launch activities, maintain technicaldocumentation, and onboard incoming technical team members.
